Thank you!
We are thrilled to announce, with your support, that we raised $6,400 for our first ever Giving Tuesday!
This will enable us to provide 3,200 hot, nutritious subsidized meals to those who need it the most at this time of year.
If you didn’t get the chance to donate this past Tuesday, it’s not too late
to support vulnerable Vancouver and Richmond homebound seniors and the disabled in your community.
Please give what you can now.
On behalf of all of us at Care BC, thank you again for your generosity and we wish you and yours the very best this holiday season!
Giving Tuesday, a global giving campaign, is a day for everyone, everywhere, to give and give back
to those who need it the most.
For 53 years, Care BC has been providing Meals on Wheels to homebound seniors and the disabled, throughout Vancouver and Richmond, to ensure they're able to remain living independently at home, but not alone. For most of our clients, the holidays are the hardest, and especially this year, as many don’t have or are unable to see their family or friends. Our dedicated volunteers are often the only social connection they have all day or week.
In 2019, Care BC volunteers delivered over 127,000 nutritious meals to 1250 residents in need. Each meal is subsidized to ensure they are as affordable as possible as many of our clients are on a fixed, or low, income. For every $100 we raise, we are able to subsidize 50 meals.
Will you help us celebrate on December 1st and reach our Giving Tuesday goal of $5,000 by making a donation to support homebound seniors and the disabled at this time of year? $5,000 will cover the cost of 2,500 subsidized meals.
Please join us and give as generously as you can now.
